Helping Hand to ORHAN

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Players and well wishers of the 2007 BTCC cricket team donated $ 1 544 (SLR 165 948/-) to ORHAN (Organization for Rehabilitation of the HANdicaped), Vavuniya, Sri Lanka. This fund is suppose to be used to establish water supply for the physically challenged kids school administered by ORHAN
Text Box: Supporting PEARL Our BTCC cricket Team had discussion with PEARL action group members from Massachusetts, New York, Ohio and Washington DC on the 31st of May 2008. We joined PEARL in raising voice for the civilians suffering back home in Sri Lanka. Eleven cricketers attended the Black July Commemoration Rally held on the 24th of July in Washington DC.

Flood Relief Fund for Children’s Home

Our Cricketers reacted quickly to raise a relief fund to support the an orphanage in Eastern province, Sri Lanka which was affected by the devastating flooding that drowned almost the whole province in January 2011. The cricket community was able to contribute SLRS 133 601.68/- towards the rehabilitation efforts in rebuilding the Seerpathdevi Children’s Home in Veeramunai.
