Galaxy Tournament –2011

 

 

BTCC  gets blown out for just 42 runs in their first match against “Galaxy XI”. Fighting  back with disciplined bowling and fielding didn’t help to win the first game. Bawan and Jana were the only one with double figures scoring 14 and 11 respectively.  Nishanth bowled 2 overs gave away 3 runs and claim a wicket in his excellent bowling spell.

 

In game 2 against the “Nukes” BTCC batted first and managed to put up a decent target of 65 on the board. Senthuran  (27) and Kumar (11) stabilized the falling wicket trend to solidify the batting performance. But the nukes managed to reach the target with 4 balls to spare and BTTC had to leave the tournament empty handed. Jatheesan bowled 3 overs and claimed a wicket giving 11 runs and Niri bowled 2 overs and claimed a wicket giving 9 runs.

 

BTCC  winning the titles in several tournaments still lack the Galaxy title and have to wait another year to give it a try.
