2007 NEWS ARCHIVES…………. BACK TO NEWS
Helping Hand for ORHAN (Dec 02, 2007) Players and well wishers of the 2007 cricket team donated $ 1 544 (SLR 165 948/-) to ORHAN (Organization for Rehabilitation of the HANdicaped), Vavuniya, Sri Lanka. This fund is suppose to be used to establish water supply for the physically challenged kids school administered by ORHAN.
Match Against Burlington Indians (Oct 07, 2007) BTCC played against the Burlington Indians in a set of two 12 overs match on the 6th of October and won both. See the “Results” section for further details.
Election of Co-ordinator & Year End Party (Sept 29, 2007) Mr Raj Kulen was elected unanimously as the cricket-co-ordinator for the year 2008 during the year end party. Our congratulations to him and wish him good luck for the coming season.
Boston-NJ Home Series (Aug 26, 2007) Both BTCC Golds and Reds won the matches against New Jersey United Stars Sports Club played at our home Fox Hills on the 25th of August (visit “NJ Series” for further details). Mr. Srikanthan was invited as special guest. He threw the ceremonial first ball and distributed the trophies to the winners. We would like to thank all the well-wishers who helped us in organizing this event and providing food.
Jasee Elected as the Reds Team Captain (Aug 20, 2007) Mr. Jaseekaran Ratnam elected as BTCC-Reds team captain. Congratulations to him and wish him all the best.
Boston-NJ Away Series (Jul 15, 2007) BTCC played its first match against New Jersey United Stars Sports Club at their grounds on the 14th of July. Although we lost both matches we had fun time with new experience and determined to improve in future (details at “NJ series”). We take this opportunity to thank our Tamil community in NJ who offered us a very warm hospitality during the event.
Kumar Elected as Captain (July 7, 2007) Mr. Kumar Ponnampalam had been elected as the captain of our team for the season. Congratulations to him and Good Luck for the team under his captaincy.
